Do Singaporeans dress Badly?

It would be unfair to say that Singaporeans dress badly as there are many who made an effort to look nice & presentable.

In my opinion,compared to other countries,Singaporeans's sense of dressing is not that bad.

Singaporeans are not trendsetters but are trend followers.

Our sense of style is inspired by different countries.
Each country has their own unique style.

In this post,I am going to show you what are the trends in Singapore that are HOT & those that are NOT.

Firstly,is FBT shorts.

Just to clarify,I myself,owned a few pairs of fbt shorts.
But what I couldnt tolerate is when one is worn on a guy.

Below is a photo of a guy wearing FBT shorts.

Guys shouldnt wear fbt shorts which are curved.Straight cut is ok(:

The worst is when they wear the one that is non-dryfit(the semi transparent ones).
Even my brother also feel that guys wearing curved fbt is really EWWWWW.

After which,it's the high waist trend.

Not everyone can make themselves look good in high waisted jeans.

For e.g

THIS IS HOT!

THIS IS NOT!!!

Look at how the high waist fashion trend can become a disaster!

She look really old & ugly in this pair of high waist jeans!

Some Singaporeans follow trends blindly without thinking whether the trend suit their body shape.

In fly,the gladiator sandals!!

In my opinion,gladiator sandals are really difficult to match & people who are short are not able to carry this well.

& it's the trend that I feel shouldnt have came back!

then when CROCS came out.

People start wearing CROCS.

Now,there are even cute accessories which you can decorate your crocs with.

ITS SO NOT HOT!

The blue crocs ruin the whole image of the guy in the suit!

& Ripped leggings became part of fashion statement.

I guess only celebrities look nice in them.

It's the only fashion that I would definitely not follow.

Soon,skinny jeans became a fashion trend.

HOT!!!!

Skinny jeans look sexy on skinny girls with long legs.

WHILE THIS IS NOT:

It's really an eyesore to see guys wear skinny jeans especially those which are the split colour skinny jeans.

There are guys who can really look good in skinny jeans but sadly most Singaporean guys do not.

Recently,harem pants became part of fashion trend.

Harem pants is not flattering at all & the huge space in between the legs make the pants look really ugly.

I have tried a pair myself once & did not like it.

Lastly,are the wetlook leggings!

Black wetlook leggings looks good as long as one knows how to match it.

Here is WHATS HOT!

& glittery wetlook leggings are SO NOT HOT!

No offence but her butt look damn big with the glittery wetlook leggings!!!!

Not everyone looks good in wetlook leggings!

Here are the common mistakes that in fact everyone have made before:

1)Visible bra/bra straps!

2)VPL(Visible Panty Line)

Most people have a misconception that the colour of the panties should match with the colour of the pants.

In the case of white shirts/pants/skirt,nude undergarment is strongly advised!(:

3)Cellulite!!!!

Woman's most feared enemy.

In fact,alot of skinny girls have cellulite as well.

Whenever,I go Bugis/Orchard,I see alot of girls who think that they are pretty & slim wear super short shorts that they didnt realise that there is cellulite on their legs!!!!

See those unsightly cellulite!!!!

They are actually not fat but they still have cellulite!

I also have cellulite.(:

That's why I dont wear shorts. =P

Lastly, DO NOT WEAR DRESS TOO SHORT!!!!

& LEGGINGS/PANTY HOSE ARE NOT PANTS!!!

Whenever you wear leggings,you must ensure that your tunic/dress cover your butt!!

Slippers with skinnies is one of the popular trend.

Sometimes,hot weather can also affect the way we dress.

Flip flops became part of Singaporean's style because they are comfortable & easy.

Imagine walking the whole of Orchard & Bugis with high heels!

It will be so painful!

A lady wearing a jump suit.

The jumpsuit doesnt flatter her at all!

Finally,if I were to describe my style of dressing,it would be CLASSIC+CASUAL.

To me,comfort is more important,but I do not compromise how I look as well.

A nice shirt with well fitted pants & a few accessories is what I wear.

I used to be someone who wear black polo tee & jeans whenever I go out.

I used to always wear black,but now I start to experiment with different colours(:
I guess bright colours can help brighten our look!(:

Lastly,

about PJs!!!

If one is able to make a PJ look presentable enough in public,why not?!

What I mean by presentable is definitely NOT:

Even Paris Hilton go public in her PJs!

Actually,I dont wear PJs when I sleep(:

I wear nightshirt!

I tried to make it more fashionable!(:

All I have to do is to add more accessories & perhaps cut the rounded collar to a V-shape!(:

Didnt cut my nightshirt because it's my favourite one!=P

I am feeling very tired after posting this very loooooong post!

MOST IMPORTANT IS TO DRESS TO SUIT YOUR BODY!!!

& NOT LET FASHION LEAD YOU!!!
